Stream Solutions (1998-2010)

Andrew revolutionised the Australian print industry in the late 1990’s by establishing Stream Solutions. The company provided an on-line order fulfillment capability and enhanced supply chain efficiencies to clients, delivering benefits including faster delivery times and reduced costs. For 9 years Andrew grew the company both nationally and internationally through initiatives such as negotiating the import of print, paper and promotional products from Asia to Australia and New Zealand. Andrew’s name was synonymous with print management for 10 years and under his management Stream Solutions became the region’s leading provider of integrated communications solutions. Stream Solutions became one of the largest suppliers of print and paper product in the Asia/Pacific region with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide and Hong Kong. In 2007 Andrew sold the business to Toll Group and remained throughout the GFC until 2010, continuing to restructure and run the company profitably.

Spicers Paper Limited (1984-1998)

After joining Spicers Paper in 1984 Andrew was promoted to become the youngest external sales representative ever appointed and quickly became the highest performing salesperson in the company, increasing revenue and gross profit by over 250 per cent year on year. During his 14 years with Spicers he held a number of senior operational and commercial positions. He had a leading role in the financial turnaround of its stationery division (now part of Australian Paper). His negotiation and commercial skills allowed him to secure contracts with European and Japanese paper mills to import paper and self adhesive products into Australia and New Zealand.

Community work

In addition to his business interests Andrew continues to support Triple Care Farm (an initiative of Mission Australia) which is a successful residential program for young people experiencing homelessness, substance abuse, mental illness or acute behavioural problems.

As a non-executive director for the Darlinghurst Theatre Company (Sydney) Andrew was actively involved in fund raising in 2009.
